Three cheers for Valentine's Day

'OUD' to Valentine's Day

I bet that my Valentine's gift from dear hubby was not what most of my friends got. :) This is 'OUD' perfume/incense that you burn and well lets just say it smells up the house in a good way. My husband loves anything Arab and this is very Arab. It's really more of an Arab Gulf thing and some even put there clothes over this everyday so they smell ever so perfumed. I don't think I'll go that far.






I just love Valentine's Day and really any excuse to celebrate something. So do the girls as you can see.

A few things that are different than back home...

I can sit by the Red Sea

My kids are really truly excited when it rains

My oldest has walked where Jesus walked

We have protests around the corner from our house sometimes

Our kids are treated like movie stars

We run out of water :)

Life back home is good but life over here we wouldn't trade for the world. God is good and we are blessed to live where we do.

Ballet

The oldest girls have been enjoying ballet this winter and so it was fun to be able to take Auntie Barclee and Uncle Stu along with us to watch their weeky lesson.



It's funny I always thought I'd be at a hockey rink with my own little hockey team of boys cheering them on but God has blessed me beyond belief with three sweet little girls. So it's off to ballet lesson we go. The chances of my girls on ice where we live is well not that high anyways but maybe one of these days on a trip back to Canada.







As you can see oldest has been doing this for a year now and three year old has just started and well three year old is my spunky fun girly who does ballet in her own little way well does life for that matter in her own spunky fun little way. It's a hoot to watch as oldest trys to get three year old to pay attention and stay on track.


A big thank you to Auntie Jill who went out of her way to find these very cute ballet outfits and sent them back with Daddy for us. Thank you xo they are perfect!

After a week with out our Gram-ma-ma and a fun trip to the Red Sea we were treated to another family visit...a record number this year I might add but this one was short but sweet.

Auntie Barclee and Uncle Stu arrived after spending a week in Africa. Yes the first request was "Can we go to Mcd's"?
