Just in time for the Stanely Cup

Does she look like a hockey player or what? No high sticking...just a battle with a slide.
My poor baby.

Summer fun

I made a little 'summer fun chart' so the girls would have something to look forward to each day. Today was art project.

We spent about 45 mins on this. Hey that's a long time for toddler to be busy and happy in her chair...without food! :) It's all about the glue.

Family Day-Dead Sea

Dear Hubby sporting Dead Sea mud.

Loving the sand but not the salt water. It always seems to cause my girls grief...but then it is the Dead Sea and there is quite a bit of salt to deal with. Even when you are just trying to play on the shore.

Much better no salt at the pool :)

We all enjoyed family day together with the Andersons. It was extra special as we had Heather Lynn join us too. She is here visiting for the month. Gotta have the camel experience. Three year old jumped on too...but quickly jumped off when it started to move.

Last day of school

We are very proud of our five year old. She completed her first year of school today. Through out the year she was always happy to get up early and go. She had a good attitude about learning a new language and she made new friends. Her teachers said she was a joy to teach. Way to go honey we're proud of you and happy to have you home with us for the summer.

We went out for dinner to celebrate her. Five year old requested a castle cake and enjoyed decorating it and sharing it with others. Another highlight was new flip flops and a coloring book. Little sisters got them too so as not to be left out.
Thank you Lord for providing our precious first born with a safe and happy school setting. A wonderful blessing.

First sleep over

Close friends of ours were moving house so i offered to have both of their girls over night. Well it turned into a big sleep over with another friend coming along. It was a blast! I now know what it's like to have triplets, twins and a toddler. We also had to get 2 off for school and 6 hairdo's done by 7:30 am. Loads of fun and not lots of sleep! They really were precious though....even if they did get up at 6am. :)

I know that with three girls I am just beginning this tradition.

Ruwwad Day

It's a blessing that dear hubby has the opportunity to work where he does with the people he loves to be with. Thank you Lord for these precious friends. Ruwwad Day was an open house to the community. An event that we all went to as a family.

HOT IRON

My little one climbed up on her kiddy chair and put her hand on the iron which was on a high counter. OUCH! All I could hear from the other side of the house was 5yr old yelling "Mommy her skin is gone and it's on the iron"
Note to self never underestimate the reach of a toddler once given some height.

Holiness

This book some friends and I went through.
What a journey. I think I need to re read it again and again though. It has been very convicting and a huge reminder of how mortification of sin in my life must be done regularly "because Holiness is God's stated goal for every believer"

Oh, God, show me more of your holiness.
Show me more of my sinfulness.
Help me to hate sin and to love righteousness as You do.

Arab BBQ

There is something about the way Arab's BBQ. Takes much longer but it sure taste great! We enjoyed some lamb and chicken with some good friends a few weeks back. The guys enjoyed making it and we enjoyed eating it!
ZACKY in Arabic (means tasty). :)
