Henry the turtle

This turtle showed up in our garden a couple weeks ago. The girls thought Henry was the perfect name for him. What fun it was to feed and watch him each day. Then it happened. Henry started to be not as interesting as he first was. Sadly we didn't even notice he escaped through our little fence. Escaping from the fence was his main goal so we're happy he's free.
Thanks for the fun memories Henry. You made us smile...for a week!

Lunch out with Gram ma-ma

Le Royal is one of the fancy hotels in Amman.

It was fun to dress up and go out for lunch with Gram ma-ma

Arab dancing

Daddy and youngest doing some Arab dancing with friends.
She loves the Arab music and knows just how to dance.

Guess she gets it from Daddy

Mansef please

Fresh bread from the oven
Yummy Mansef!
We love Arab food and we're so glad that the girls enjoy it too.
Their favourite is the main Jordanian dish Mansef.
Whenever we're out for an Arab dinner that's what they want to order.
We were out with friends for dinner the other week. When it came time to order
the girls could have had french fries and chicken but no it was the Mansef that they were most excited about.

Concussion

A few weeks ago my active five year fell hard head first. I knew this was not the normal fall. She was holding her head in pain, her eyes were blurred then the vomitting started...off to the ER we drove. She had a CT scan and then an overnight in the hospital for observation. We are very thankful it was only a concussion as it coud have been much worse.
