Christmas party

Dec. 20th we had our annual Christmas Party

Our girls and their friends recited verses and sang carols for us
These sweet little ones recited the candy cane poem

Oldest played Jingle Bells

Then we all dressed up in our costumes and acted out the Christmas story

King Herod was pretty scary

The Wisemen sang for us with Joseph joining in
My three sweet angels in their costumes

Snow storm

Some said this was the most snow they had
seen in the Middle East in 60 years
Compared to Canada it does not look like much but remember there are no snow plows sanding the roads, no snow tires and most people do not even have shovels.
We were snowed in our home for three days

After three days being stuck we got our car out and we all went for some groceries. It took us hours to just get there and home. Schools were closed for the week in Amman.
This was one car we saw stuck.

No snow days off for homeschooled children. :)
Still lots of time to play

Football fun

We're thankful for the opportunity the girls had to play football this past Fall.
It's been good for the girls to learn about a sport
and about working together with others on a team.

Turning Eight

The birthday girl and her sisters

The theme was Little House on the Prairie
Oldest has been reading through these books
I made a log cabin cake and each girl came dressed up

 We made paper bonnets
Homemade butter and bread
Hunted for eggs in the pretend barn.

Burlap party bags with wagon wheels and other treats

Ma and her girls had a great time.
