Homeschool co-op

We are so blessed to be apart of a new homeschool co-op that was started by some new friends of mine. I did not even know there were other homeschooling Moms out there in Jordan till I joined this group. What a blessing to have other women to bounce ideas off of. It's every Thursday morning for 2 hrs. It has been so nice for the girls to learn with other children and to learn from someone other than me.  They do art and science one week and lang. arts and music the next. Here are a few pictures from last weeks time together. This is just the younger group my girls are in but there is an older group with more children in it as well.

Arabic lesson

The girls have two Arabic tutors. One of them is our dear friend Um Isa. She is a widow that lives in the area where Daddy works. Um Isa makes learning fun. We're thankful for the time we have with her.

Ballet

Fall ballet lessons have begun. This is the first time all the girls have done it together and  may be the last as it's too expensive to carry on. It has been so cute though to watch three year old. She's so proud of herself.  Finally being old enough to join in with her big sisters. Sorry better pictures to come next week.

Picnic with friends

One of the many things we love about living in the Midle East is the Friday afternoon picnics with friends. Anywhere you can find trees you'll find families out having a picnic. While we were enjoying our time with friends this man came over and played his instrument for us. He made up a song on the spot for our girls. Most Arabs do BBQ but this day we brought Papa Johns pizza :) it was easy and a yummy treat.

Fall is here

Even though the weather is warm and muggy here in Jordan the girls and I are excited it's Fall. It's such a fun season to talk about and to decorate with. We went on a Fall walk last week. There were no colours too see and no leaves to jump in but there were some green trees and it was interesting to learn about what leaves we could find close to home.
